Despite missing a crucial penalty against Middlesbrough, which got Manchester United kicked out of the FA Cup in the 4th round, Anthony Elanga has looked like a real asset and talent for the Red Devils in recent weeks.
The 19-year-old Swede netted an equaliser against Atletico Madrid last night in the Champions League round of 16, making him a real talking point at this current moment. Also Scoring against Leeds in a 4-2 win.
He slotted the ball past Slovenia shot-stopper Jan Oblak, in the 80th minute. Multiple people praised how calmy he finished the ball into the bottom corner, dropping Mozambican Reinildo Mandeva in the same passage of play. Others criticised the goalkeeper positioning of Jan Oblak and said the goal was avoidable.
The number 36, is currently contracted at Man United till June 2026. He has a transfer value of £3.6million, but if he keeps up his performances, this is bound to go up.
He signed to Man united's youth back in the 15/16 season after being a free transfer from being released from the Malmo FF under 17 team. Before this, he was playing football at IF Elsborg Under 17s.

He scored 4 goals in the premier league 2 in 8 appearances before Ralf Rangnick promoted him to the first team. Since being promoted to the first team, he has scored 2 goals in 9 premier league games, but with his current form, he looks to add a few more goals to his tally before the end of the season.
Manchester United fans are starting to love the Swedish international, especially when it comes to his passion for the club. After scoring his goal in the 4-2 win against Leeds United, Anthony Elanga stared down the Leeds fans and pointed to the badge in retaliation to the Leeds fans giving the Manchester club stick.
Ralf Rangnick has the utmost respect for the Swede and has bags of belief in his ability.
'I wish a few other players would take Elanga as a role model, He's simply living the dream.'
'He was the player with the best training performance. and he'd already decided to leave on loan... I told him I want him to stay. He has a great approach, really.'
'He was almost on his way out on loan in Jan, I told him: no way, you will stay.'
'From the first training session, he showed up. I was in my hotel room watching videos of him on YouTube!'
Rio Ferdinand also jumped onto the bandwagon to appreciate a new chant about him.
'Rhythm is a dancer, Anthony Elanga
You won't stop him if you dare
Came from Scandinavia
To be United's Saviour
Scoring goals from everywhere
Woah it's Elanga'
After scoring the equalising goal against Atletico Madrid, the 19-year-old said to BT:
'I'm always calm. I think that was my first touch as well! I've dreamt of moments like this.'
'Whenever I get a chance for the club, I want to repay the manager. I want to be the best player I can be on the pitch. I appreciate the boss.'
For a 19-year-old to score with his first touch against a side like Atletico Madrid, it shows he has a promising future ahead of him. The whole United team struggled to score for 80 mins of the game, and the young Swede showed the experienced team how it's done. He now looks to add to his tally against struggling Watford on the 26th of Febuary.
