Due to teams withdrawing from the recent ESL being made, the official European Super League has had to release a statement talking about the next steps they will be taking.
The announcement starts with "The European Super League is convinced that the current status quo of European football needs to change." What we understand from this is that there still sticking with the ideology of improving football for the world of good.
"We are proposing a new European competition because the existing system does not work. Our proposal is aimed at allowing the sport to evolve while generating resources and stability for the full football pyramid, including helping to overcome the financial difficulties experienced by the entire football community as a result of the pandemic. It would also provide materially enhanced solidarity payments to all football stakeholders."
The paragraph above runs through what Florentino Perez talked about in his first interview the other night whilst adding the idea of a few changes to the current ESL concept.
"Despite the announced departure of the English clubs, forced to take such decisions due to the pressure put on them, we are convinced our proposal is fully aligned with European law and regulations as was demonstrated today by court decision to protect the Super League from third party actions."
From this paragraph above we understand that ESL believes that the decisions made came from the pressure of people over social media platforms, which shows fragility from ESL as there trying to make out the fans reaction as a negative on the future of football.
"Given the current circumstances, we shall reconsider the most appropriate steps to reshape the project always having in mind our goal of offering fans the best experience possible while enhancing solidarity payments for the entire football community."
The manipulating words of this statement, whilst ticket prices keep rising, being able to obtain a match will be as pricey as ever and being able to ever go to an away game is very hypocritical and miss leading. The fact that they think pumping all this money into football teams whilst ruining domestic leagues and the beauty of the UCL is a good idea is beyond mad and is a deluded idea. Florentino Perez acting like this is the best thing to happen to football and trying to use all his power and convincing words to try and get football fans on his side is the obvious sign of financial greed and brainwashing in an attempt to fill his full pockets further.
