Neymars Dazzling Display Against The Bavarian's

PSG are now in the Semi-Finals of the UEFA Champions League after beating holding champions Bayern Munich.

An end-to-end match saw Bayern Munich lose, win and draw all at the same time last night.

The 1-0 win wasn't enough to see the Germans go through to the next round. Despite this ex Stoke City, PSG, and Cameroonian striker Erik Choupo-Moting scored in both fixtures. The only man who topped him throughout the two fixtures was Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr.

Neymar's over the top balls, take on's and close control on the ball in the two games facing the Bavarians was next level. The Brazilian played a huge part in PSG getting into the Semi-Finals and getting revenge from the final last year.

After leaving Barcelona, Neymar Jr hasn't won a single European trophy. With PSG going so far two years on the trot, he finally looks to change this recurrence and finally lift the Champions League trophy.

Neymar has showcased his talent massively in the UEFA Champions League this season, grabbing six goals in seven matches so far. The skilful winger looks to add to this tally in the Semi-Final.

His tally this year has been an improvement to his Champions League tally last year when PSG lost in the final. Neymar grabbed only three goals in seven matches in this campaign.

Neymar Jr has been much hated throughout the years and mocked consistently, but he keeps proving his doubters wrong. Critiques comment on his bad attitude, but on Tuesday night, he showed the absolute correct attitude. Especially after going straight to David Alaba to console him, this was such a class moment since David Alaba consoled Neymar after missing out on a Champions League trophy the year before.

Every game Neymar commences in the Champions League, he at least contributed with an assist or goal. In 67 Champions League games, Neymar has been involved in 67 goals (41 goals, 26 assists.) Even with stats like these, people disregard him and treat him as overrated.

The sign of a good player is someone that gets hate because they play well. Neymar is a player everyone would secretly love on their team and won't admit it. He has a huge group of people who critique him and don't have a reason, most of the time they'll comment on his attitude or leaving Barcelona, but never on his skill and ability.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi firmly believes Neymar Jr will be at the club "for a long time." He also believes that Kylian Mbappe and Neymar "have no reason to leave." The club has a bundle of ambition and thinks PSG is a club that top players should stay at and not use as a stepping-stone. People don't take PSG seriously as they play in Ligue 1, and they describe this division as a "farmers league," and people don't show the league any respect.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi said in full: "I think that next year Neymar will be at Paris Saint-Germain and he will stay here for a long time. He and Mbappe have no reason to leave. Now we'll aim to win the Champions League. It's the second year in a row we're in the semifinals, It's a great success."

After the win, Pochettino praised Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria as "geniuses," and see's his team as a proper candidate for winning the Champions League. Mbappe and Neymars bond has excelled over the years, and their pairing is scary for any defence to face.

Neymar is yet to win a Ballon D'Or, but this could finally be his year if he wins the Champions League trophy. Lewandowski has played brilliantly so far this season, but now PSG have knocked his chances of winning a Champions league away, Neymar could finally win the trophy.

After the game, Neymar said: "I am very happy, despite the defeat. We faced a great team. We are also a great team, and we showed it." The team is in high spirit and oozes confidence, and Neymar is showcasing why more people should respect what he does on the pitch.

The Semi-Final is being played on the 27th of April and PSG's next opponent will be confirmed after tonight's results. A massive game brewing for Les Parisiens.
