After Florentino Perez' first interview, a lot has happened with the ESL, and after it looked dead in the water, Florentino Perez was back to discuss the ESL, this time with El Larguero.
After a lot of fan disagreement and confrontation from the UEFA and FIFA governing bodies, Florentino Perez has decided to do a follow-up interview on the proposedly suspended ESL. Throughout this UEFA president, Alexandra Ceferin, who is another controversial body, said: "Florentino Perez doesn't want a president like me? That pushes me even more to stay. He wants a president that would obey him and do everything he wants."
UEFA and FIFA have been a standpoint in the abolishment of this project and have done a lot to make sure their pockets are still intact. Which is controversial as they don't deal half as well with human decency and moral.

In the midst of all the mess and drama coinciding with the plans and coordinated ESL, Perez has furthermore explained his ideologies after only Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid remain.
Florentino Perez thought the footballing fans of the world didn't understand the structure of what he had commiserated and said: "Maybe we didn't explain the Super League project properly, but maybe tonight I'll explain better."
In true dictatorship style, he then attempted to take the blame off himself by saying: "Am I the President of the Super League and Real Madrid? No, no I'm just the president of Real Madrid, that is enough."
After basically blaming all the other directors involved he then contradicted himself after explaining the Domestic leagues were under no risk:
"Domestic Leagues were never under any risk. We just wanted to replace the current UCL because it's old and it doesn't work anymore."
A dig at UEFA and a failed attempt to reassure the Domestic League as Florentino Perez will still be taking massive teams away from the designated leagues.
A lot of people continued to express the fact it was all money talks by stating the reason why he went through with this project was for an economic situation.
"We have been working on the Super League for three years to fight the economic situation we are going through."
What he meant by this, is the financial issues Real Madrid and Barcelona are going through and this was a desperate attempt to revitalize the two Spanish giants.
The fact he continuously used the money to try and lure the teams in saying.
"The Super League would be from August to the end of the season. It would be money for the big teams and the small teams."
Perez' words just go to show his manipulating ways and that he's a nasty piece of work towards the footballing world and pretends to care.

He also came out for Ceferin by saying: "Some league presidents and the president of UEFA were incredibly aggressive. I've never seen anything like it. It was orchestrated."
The announcement of the ESL and the money behind basically sparked a footballing cold war.
In a desperate attempt to save his long years of research and ultimate creation, was by calling people out and naming them as liars.
"A lot of lies were spread. That we're ending domestic leagues, that football merit is gone, that we're killing football. None of it is true. The people that spread those lies have certain privileges that they don't want to lose."
Florentino Perez knows money talks a lot better than fans and he brought up a lot of money statistics to back up his words.
"The Super League was the way to earn money." "650 million euros had been lost between the 12 clubs last season."
Instead of turning into the footballing hero, Perez has ultimately come across as the villain and feels hard done by with his attempt to save the beautiful game.
He is committed to making something work still though and will go ahead with another idea saying: "If this project didn't work, another one will." The project that may work might not even be Florentino Perez' project though, instead, it could be his current rivals UEFA. UEFA are going ahead with a new and improved UCL to outdo Perez' plans.
He then said how it wasn't the fans and Boris Johnson that defeated the idea of ESL and how leaving the ESL isn't over just yet and there are still a few steps before the teams have officially left the project.
"All clubs signed a binding contract." "There are people with privileges who do not want to lose them, even if it is at the expense of sabotaging the clubs."
"The PL clubs left because UEFA and FIFA started a whole show and there was too much pressure, It wasn't about the fans or Boris Johnson." "The Super League is now in standby."
After saying this, he started trying to convince the public and tell the public how teams haven't left. He explained the reasoning's and explained how.
"Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan are still in talks to find solutions. They haven't left." "The Manchester owners started a campaign of manipulation, that we will end the leagues. I will not say which club."
Perez is still naive and is showing great belief in a future for ESL and will fight with all the power he has. After stating about the teams not officially leaving with a lot of money talks to still take place, he then brought up young fans once again.
"Young fans don't watch football, they have other hobbies."
The problem with this quote is that he didn't follow up with any evidence on this, but it is true with the level of younger people on social media in this day and age.
Another excuse he used to deny the facts it's all because of football is that he believes there is a level of clubs around the globe that have achieved a monumental amount at a high level and deserve the prize of a new breakaway league.

"People say this isn't about football merit, but it's wrong. Those 15 clubs earned it on the pitch, they've been winning trophies for the last 20 years. How can you say they haven't earned it?"
As Premier League teams left the breakaway league after only two days, a lot of people reported that the Premier League teams would receive lawsuits from Perez, which Perez confirmed is not true. The Premier League and FA could still deduct points and file their lawsuits against the top 6 clubs that momentarily signed up for the ESL.
"The contracts are signed and binding. The PL clubs can't leave like that, we will not file a lawsuit, but they're serious people and we will find solutions."
On the other hand, the clubs may receive a fine from the ESL.
"No one has paid a fine for leaving the Super League, because they did not leave yet. But if they do, of course, they will pay a fine."
Fans of Chelsea football club also protested against the ESL just before their PL match against Brighton which Perez responded: "I know who brought those 40 Chelsea guys to protest." "Chelsea fans' protest? There were 40 people." "The people that took the 40 Chelsea fans to Stamford Bridge, are the same people who put those anti-ESL shirts on Cadiz tonight."
One of the final excuses he brought to the table is the fact how football goes on and life changes and when the way of life changes, things around it should change too. In this sense he means football.
"Life changes. When two decades pass, new generations come demanding new things. It is wrong to think that they think like us. Football is a global sport and to take care of it we must play more competitive matches."
Changing the sport won't only affect the fans as there used to the current infrastructure and format it posses but will also affect the deterioration of fitness in players, especially if they're made to tackle more fixtures.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta is sticking with the ESL according to Perez who said: "I talk to Laporta, Barcelona are still with us."
Just a day after the interview finished, Joan Laporta explained his standpoint with the current suspended ESL where he confirmed that he was still with Florentino with this ongoing proposal.
"There has been pressure on some clubs, but the Super League proposal still exists. It must be an attractive competition based on sporting merits. We are open to a dialogue with UEFA. I think we'll find an agreement."
"The Super League is absolutely necessary. The big clubs provide a lot of resources and we need to have our word on the financial distribution. Our socios will have the final word." He said this on Spanish TV Channel TV3.Cat.
Laporta's Barcelona and Perez' Real Madrid are now two of the three remaining clubs that haven't come out on social media about leaving the ESL. As Barcelona are 990 million euros in debt and Real Madrid is in 1bn, it makes plenty of sense why Perez and Laporta are working together to get the proposed league over the edge. Laporta is currently seen as agreeing with Perez because of the pressure he withstands and the current state of his club.
As most teams who initially agreed of joining have backed out, it will take a lot of backbone, fight and luck for this project to get back on its toes.
